Lesson Reminders and Policies

Cancellation Policy

I understand summer is a very busy time for all children, especially parents. With that being said it is vital that your child attends all swim lessons scheduled to ensure their swimming success. For this purpose it is necessary that when your child is scheduled for a swim lesson you are on time and ready to go. I have worked very hard to give all of my clients the best arranged schedule for swim lessons giving each of you specific times and dates. Due to this very specific and closely timed schedule it is mandatory that all lessons have an attendance with the exception of illness ONLY. If your child becomes sick and is unable to attend a swim lesson I ask that you inform me twenty-four hours ahead of time or by 7am the morning of your lesson. If you inform me of your child’s illness within the allotted time a make-up lesson will be scheduled. All other lesson cancellations including but not limited to: pool maintenance issues, parties, play dates, extracurricular activities, last minute out of town trips, etc will not be allowed a make-up lesson date and will be charged. There will be no exceptions. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure all swim lesson dates and times prearranged for each session are feasible.

Vacation/Make-up Lessons

Due to the timing of our swim lesson season I allow vacations to be taken without penalty so long as they are reported in advance. In order for a client's vacation dates to become accepted within the swim lesson schedule they must be arranged around and reported before the VERY FIRST day of the current session.

Lesson Reminders

I am sure we have all come to understand the hustle and bustle of summer. Due to this busy time I ask that we are all as efficient as possible when dealing with swim lessons. With this being said it is MANDATORY that: all pools remain heated at a constant 84 degrees Fahrenheit,  children with long hair have their hair put into a pony tail/bun prior to the swim lesson, goggles are not worn during the lesson, and swim suits are put on prior to the lesson. Pool maintenance issues as well as all other details listed above are NOT valid excuses for a missed lesson. It is my goal to teach each and every one of my clients to swim safely and effectively. In order to accomplish this goal I ask that parents do not interfere with any part of the lesson to allow a bond and type of trust between your child and I to be formed. Lastly, when your lesson time begins and your instructor has entered the pool your lesson time will begin no exceptions. Continuing off of this clause it is vital that you arrive on time to your lesson, no late arrivals will be made up. As always, I would like to thank you all for your amazing help with the process of our summer swim lessons.
